The price per person per night is £30 for B&B & £45 for B&B and 1-course dinner, all fitting around your sport fixtures. Crucially the price also includes help with the arrangement of sporting fixtures to match the strength of your team as closely as possible, if needed.

Accommodation is in either our AA 3* Star Inn cottages or ensuite rooms as available (we can accommodate groups up to 40). Click below to view the Halfway House Inn accommodation.

All you have to do is get in touch with us and we can let you know any other specific information for the sports tour you’re interested in. For example with a cricket tour the touring team must provide a good quality new ball & pay the normal fee for tea. Occasionally, a fixture with another touring side of similar standard can be arranged on a neutral ground with the costs for pitch hire & a new ball being shared between both teams.

A golf day is one of our specialities and can be arranged for your group as a whole or for those having a rest from cricket. Alternatively, some members of your team may wish to play 9 or even 18 holes in the morning prior to their cricket in the afternoon. We can also arrange alternative activities at short notice if the weather turns wet at an additional cost (click below).

Sport tours for Schools, Junior and Adult Clubs are available from just £30 on a bed & breakfast basis and £45 on a half-board basis per person per night. We can arrange tours for any team sport - such as Cricket, Hockey, Rugby, Netball and Basketball - for any age and experience.

Shropshire is a delightful county & many of its' clubs have a long record of hosting sides of all standards. At our previous hotel, the Pengwern in Shrewsbury, we hosted over eight hundred successful cricket, golf, rugby & other sports tours and we are proud to continue the tradition from our current establishment, The Halfway House Inn.
